A collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”
The Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which consist of 17 goals, 169 targets and over 200 indicators, were adopted in 2015 by 193 countries at the United Nations General Assembly and involved global multi-stakeholder consultation for its development. This global agenda is a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all and transform our world for the better. The 17 SDGs are integrated. They recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
The 17 goals are divided into 5 pillars; people, prosperity, planet, peace and partnerships.
To achieve the SDGs in every context, creativity, knowhow, technology and financial resources from all of society is necessary.
